I make these axe heads based on archaeological findings of three different materials. The axes may have a C10 body to which a cuttidge of high carbon steel (signed [a] at the end of their code) or damascus steel [b] is forge welded. The most unique items are made of full damascus steel, the multiple forge welding technology makes the appearance of the product highly attractive and special [c]. All the axes heads have a hardened cutting edge so these are well usable tools and not only for decoration.
I attach hand carved dogwood handle for my axe heads. Dogwood was used for tool handles (mainly for hammer and axe handles) for hundreds of years in the past, but nowadays it is not suitable raw material for industrial use as it is rare and small.
